Screws

A screw is a threaded fastener designed to hold objects together or transfer motion by converting rotational force into linear force. It has a cylindrical shaft with helical threads that grip into materials like wood, metal, or plastic. Common types include wood screws for carpentry, machine screws for machinery and with nuts, self-tapping and self-drilling screws for creating their own threads in metal or plastic, sheet metal screws for thin metals, and special forms like countersunk, pan head, socket head (Allen), and Phillips/Torx screws depending on the drive and application.
