Quality & Compliance

1.0 Incoming Inspection and Testing
All incoming materials are subjected to inspection to ensure they meet the specified requirements as per purchase orders (PO). For materials such as wire rods, mild steel, stranded steel (grades 202, 204, 304, 316), and high-tension boron materials, both size and diameter are checked. The acceptable tolerance for both parameters is ±0.2 mm. A sample size of one per lot is used, with measurements taken using a micrometer and a vernier caliper respectively. Additionally, all other incoming materials are visually inspected for physical condition, with a 100% sampling rate. All findings are documented in the Incoming Inspection Report.

2.0 In-Process and Final Inspection and Testing
Throughout the production process, as well as during the final inspection, multiple parameters are checked to ensure compliance with product specifications and customer requirements.

All components are checked for dimensional accuracy against the drawing chart, allowing a tolerance of ±5%. This is verified with 100% sampling using a micrometer and recorded in the Daily Production Report. Proper tagging is checked to ensure tags are present and correctly filled out. Proper sealing at the ends is also visually confirmed.

During the annealing stage, diameters are measured and recorded for all units using a micrometer. Head forging is checked to ensure proper punching has been carried out, while thread rolling is inspected for proper threading. Both processes are validated through 100% visual inspection.

Drying of the product is assessed to ensure it has been adequately completed. During chemical washing, the coating is visually inspected to confirm it meets customer requirements. Similarly, polishing is checked to ensure a stain-free and polished finish. Finally, heat treatment is evaluated by checking the hardness of the product, which must conform to the customer's specified values. This is again checked using a micrometer, and all inspections are conducted on 100% of the products.

This Quality Control Plan is prepared by the Production Incharge and approved by the Director. The control measures ensure that each product delivered by Screwfix International Pvt. Ltd. maintains a high standard of quality and consistency, aligning with both internal specifications and customer expectations.
